2 for 20s
Dedicating 2 years of your life in your 20s, so you can learn to be an on-mission Christian for the rest of your life!
The 2 for 20s internship exists to help young adults invest 2 years of their lives in their 20s to learn how to live on-mission for Christ for the rest of their lives! Our goal is to equip them to serve faithfully in their local church and advance the Kingdom of God wherever the Lord leads their lives. Over the course of 2 years, they will receive 5 hours/week of leadership and theological training, serve 15 hours/week in practical ministry, be intentionally coached by a local mentor, and be a part of the church’s growing young adult ministry! The first 2-year cycle will run from September 2027-September 2029. Review of applications for the ‘27-’29 class will begin on September 1, 2026.
Program Overview
Over the course of the 2 year internship, interns will complete BASIC Training, Lead School, attend the ACBC Biblical Counseling Essentials Conference, serve on at least 1 mission trip, serve in a variety of ministry areas, achieve quarterly missionary goals, receive coaching from a mature Christian mentor, and participate in regular 2 for 20s cohort gatherings.
Year 1
In the first year of the 2 for 20s internship, participants will complete the BASIC training program, as well as begin their first year of Lead School. Interns will be exposed to and serve in a variety of ministry areas while seeking to achieve intentional missionary goals. Some of these ministry areas are:
- Children's Ministry
- Sports Ministry
- Student/Youth Ministry
- Young Adult Ministry
- Women's Ministry
- Music/Media
Year 2
Interns in their 2nd year of the 2 for 20s internship will complete their 2nd year of Lead School, as well as choose one specific ministry area to focus on for the year, while continuing to achieve weekly missionary goals.
