The last few months have looked much different than any of us expected when 2020 started, but we are so thankful that we’ve had the ability to worship the Lord together remotely through technology. It’s also been great to worship a couple of times outside in our sports fields as we waited for the time to get back inside our building. Taking into consideration what our state and federal leaders are asking of us and being aware of how things are moving forward in our region, we’re going to start meeting again inside our facility at 50% capacity. We wanted to share some details with you about what that is going to look like, so please check out those details below.
We also recognize that some people might not be ready to meet in person because they are older, have compromised health, or simply aren't ready to be a part of larger group just yet. So, we will continue to provide our Livestream of the services on both Saturday nights and Sunday mornings on our Facebook page, YouTube channel, and our website homepage by clicking “Watch Live”.
SERVICE TIMES. Services will be held on Saturdays at 6pm and Sundays at 10am.
PRE-REGISTRATION. To make sure we have enough room for anyone who wants to come and worship, please pre-register for the service you would like to attend by going to The Hub.
DOORS OPEN TIME. Doors will open 30 minutes before the services.
WEARING MASKS. As you enter the building, please wear a mask at all times unless you are seated or on stage. (Masks will be available at the front door for those who need them.)
FINDING A SEAT. When you come through the Foyer and enter the Worship Room, a Lead Usher will point you in the direction of another Usher who will help you/your family find a seat.
SEAT SPACING. We have taken out every other row and put spacing in aisles so all rows will be 6 feet apart. When you sit in a row, all households will be able to sit together of course, but please leave 3 seats between other individuals/households on your row.
MASKS DURING FELLOWSHIP & SINGING. We want to encourage fellowship and conversation as you move around the building, but be sure to wear masks and practice social distancing as you visit with others. As we stand to sing, please also wear your mask. We know that this is not optimal for singing, but if we do not wear masks, we would have to spread out much further. The Worship Team on stage will not be wearing masks so we can hear them clearly as they lead us in singing, but they will be spaced at least 12 ft. back from those in front of them which is the suggested spacing for singing.
WORSHIP GUIDE/SERMON NOTES. These will continue to be available by clicking on “Watch Live!” on our website’s homepage. Please bring your own notebook and pens for note-taking.
DIGITAL COMMUNICATION CARD. If you’re new to New Hope, have a prayer request, need to update your information, or want to communicate anything else with us, go to The Hub to fill out an online communication card.
BIBLES. As always, we will provide Scripture references on the screen, but we do encourage you to bring a Bible. If you are in need of a Bible, please let an Usher know, and we will be happy to provide you a Bible to keep.
TITHES & OFFERINGS. You may give your offering at the service in one of the black boxes on the back wall as you leave the Worship Room, or you can continue to give online, by text (518-263-0001), or by check in the mail (454 Corinth Road, Queensbury, NY, 12804).
hYGIENE & hEALTH
MASKS. All attendees, volunteers, and staff will be expected to wear masks unless seated or on stage.
SUPPLIES. Hand sanitizing stations, masks, and gloves will be available around the building for your use.
GREETINGS. We love encouraging one another, and the safest way to greet one another during this season is by saying hello, a big smile under your mask 😁, and a wave rather than hugs or handshakes.
RESTROOMS. Restrooms will be available to use one person at a time. If you enter a restroom and it is occupied, please wait outside the door.
COFFEE & FOOD. While we love to offer coffee and snacks as we fellowship before and after services, these refreshments and water fountains will be unavailable at this time. Feel free to bring your own coffee or water.
HEALTH CONSIDERATIONS. If you have health concerns or if over the last 14 days you or your family have had COVID-19 symptoms*, a positive COVID-19 test, or have had close contact with someone who has COVID-19, please take care of yourself and be thoughtful of others by not attending the service in person and instead watching the Livestream. (*symptoms such as fever, shortness of breath, chills, cough, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, loss of taste or smell)
KiDz Church Plan
KIDZ CHURCH. We were able to begin a modified version of Kidz Church last weekend with our Outdoor Services for children 4 years - 5 grade, and we are glad to be able to continue that as we move the Worship Services back to our building!
PRE-REGISTRATION. We encourage parents to pre-register your children at The Hub, but we will also have the ability to register children when they arrive for those who don't register ahead of time.
REGISTRATION DESK. When you enter the Foyer from the front doors, the registration desk will be on the far right side as you head towards the Restrooms and Youth Room. If you have pre-registered, you can pick up your child’s name tag there. If you have not pre-registered, you can register them there.
HEALTH SCREENING QUESTIONS. When your child is dropped off for Kidz Church, we’ll ask some basic health questions such as…Any COVID-19 symptoms in the past 14 days (such as fever, shortness of breath, chills, cough, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, loss of taste or smell)? Have you traveled outside of NY State in the last 14 days? Positive COVID-19 test in the past 14 days? Close contact with confirmed COVID-19 cases in the past 14 days?
YOUTH ROOM DROP-OFF POINT. After registering your child, you will continue down the hallway on the right and go by the Restrooms all the way to the end of the hall to the Youth Room where someone will be waiting to receive your child and help him/her find a seat.
SEATING. Children will be appropriately spaced from other children. However, children in the same family will be allowed to sit together.
MASKS. Under current governmental guidelines, masks will be necessary for all children and children’s workers. We realize this may be a little tough for the kids, but following this guideline is necessary for all aspects of the service and allows us to be able to provide a Kidz Church ministry for them. (Kids are able to remove their masks if they are seated in their chair.)
Tiny groups. Our main focus for Youth (grades 6-12) at this time is on “Tiny Groups” which are small groups that meet during the week. We also encourage our Youth to stay involved in Weekend Worship.
Staying connected/other events. For more information on Tiny Groups and some of the other Youth events and activities that are coming soon, check out our Student Ministries Facebook and Instagram pages.
We know that this is a strange and challenging time for all of us, but we are so grateful that we are able to come back to worship the Lord in our building together with these understandings and considerations. Please continue to pray for your pastors and ministry leaders as we seek to navigate through this challenging season with wisdom and care and not only keep the Lord’s work going - but also growing! Thank you, New Hope family, for how you continue to stay connected with what the Lord is doing through us as a church family together!
God bless you,
